An Olivehurst resident who took out papers to run for Yuba County supervisor said Tuesday she won’t run because of family concerns.
Marlys Eatmon, one of two potential challengers to incumbent Supervisor Mary Jane Griego, said her mother’s health issues and her status as the primary contact in an emergency would make it very difficult to run.
“I still care deeply about Olivehurst and the problems we have here,” she said. “But right now, I just can’t run. My mother comes before that.”
In addition to Griego, Veronica Ramos, a small-business owner and first-time office seeker, is also in the race for District 3, which includes all of historic Olivehurst and part of Arboga.
Family should always come first. Best wishes for the health of your mother.
Someone needs to oust Mary Jane Griego! Remember those lies she tried to spread about Dr. Cassady?
